FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

[Brooklyn, NY] – Koowi Technologies, Inc., the personal safety alert innovator, is pleased to announce new safety features on their popular MyGuard® safety app.

New safety features include the shake, which activates immediate alerts on the user’s phone and state of the art early alerts for volcanic activity, which may give users the seconds they need to get to safety. These features will be available in 2017.

The MyGuard® Smartphone app instantly detects gunshot, fire and even the presence of carbon monoxide, quickly and reliably, by listening for the beep from your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. MyGuard® also alerts you when known sex offenders are nearby, and the app broadcasts Amber Alerts as well as missing pet alerts. The app is customizable so you can create personalized voice alerts for you children.

“This app is the one lifesaving app you need on your phone,” says Koowi Technologies CEO Joseph Browne.

Koowi Technologies has offered effective and accurate solutions in improving personal safety response time since 2013.

PRICING:

Blanketing a major metropolitan area like New York with a surveillance system similar to MyGuard® would cost more than $40 million. Waiting for the safety alert system to be operational could be even more costly. The MyGuard® safety app costs $4.99 per year. You can download this comprehensive alert system on your smart phone now for only pennies a day.

LEADERSHIP & INNOVATION

Joseph Maximus Browne, MyGuard app creator, has his feet planted in two cultures – the fast-paced American lifestyle of New York City where he lives now, and the Caribbean island homeland of his father, where he grew up.

By the age of twelve, Joseph had already visited every parish, district and community in Grenada including the islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique under the “Meet the People Tour” programs. There he witnessed first hand how good families struggled to cope with the costs of living and needed a helping hand.

His father was employed by the Grenadian government as a movie projector technician and public address system technician, and he was fortunate enough to also have been employed by the “Government Broadcasting Unit” to perform the same duties as his father. Joseph appreciated working side by side with his father and learning from him. Joseph also experienced the legal side of life where he was a witness to a crime and had to appear in court. From those formative years, he developed a strong sense of taking the initiative, being a team player and knowing that the rewards of hard work and determination puts one ‘ahead of the game.’

Joseph completed his education in the USA. Within three months of his enrollment in school, he was promoted from 7th to 9th  grade. After high school, he studied Electrical Engineering for about a year, and during that time he learned something that would change his life – electrical engineering was NOT for him!

Instead, Joseph traveled to broaden my horizons even further. As he listened to the people he met, he felt compelled to help them find solutions to the problems they faced. During this time, he discovered that he excelled at not only creating but also actualizing innovative ideas that helped people lead better lives.

Joseph kicked off his first business venture in 1982, and later invented a product called Maximus System/2 in 1995. That same year he competed in a show called Inpex (recognized worldwide) and won Best Innovation in Safety/Security. The following year Joseph was invited to Hungary for the 100th year anniversary for Inventors of Hungary. Two years later he invented another product called Easy to Reach and had a patent pending.

His next innovation was Koowi, which began as a small, home-based business and has grown into a far-reaching service company. Joseph coined the word Koowi, which means quick, by combining parts of two words. The name is now patented and trademarked, and although Koowi was originally associated with heating, the company has diversified.

Since childhood, Joseph Maximus Browne has always been passionate about assisting people, and this desire has been his driving force to be successful in helping people live the life they want and deserve to lead.
